Darlene Janice Bryant's Obituary
Darlene Janice Bryant, longtime Tulsa resident, went to her Heavenly home on April 9, 2026, at the age of 91. She was born on December 3, 1934, to Kenneth and Ruby King. Janice was raised in Tulsa and graduated from Central High School in 1952. In the following years, Janice was the office manager for two Tulsa physicians and then later became a real estate agent.
Janice married the love of her life, Buddy Bryant in April of 1953, beginning a partnership that lasted nearly 42 years until Buddy’s death in 1995. Buddy and Janice had three children, Rick, Kimberli and Brad.
Janice was a faithful Christian who loved to sing, enjoying many years as a member of the church choirs at Skelly Drive Baptist Church, Southern Hills Baptist Church and Woodland Acres Baptist Church. She also was an avid reader who closely followed the local community events and, on many occasions, wrote letters to the editor to make sure her opinions were seen.
Janice loved spending time with her family, friends and fur babies, and also loved to travel, taking numerous trips with Buddy, and later with friends and family. Her most memorable destinations were their place on Lake Hudson, trips to Canada with Buddy, McAllen, TX with Ben and Marcia, Palm Springs with close friends Carol and Mary, Italy with Kimberli and her condo in Hot Springs.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband Buddy. Janice is survived by son Rick and his wife Layne, daughter Kimberli Jeffers and her husband Scott, and son Brad and his wife Kelly; grandchildren, Kristen Morrow, Lindsay Johnson (Duane), Courtney Spears (Shea), and Kelsey Bryant; five great-grandchildren, Jaxon Morrow, Addison Morrow, twins Karsyn Johnson and Kaisley Johnson, and Ruby Spears, along with numerous extended family members and friends. She was GiGi to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
