There are so many good memories to share about this woman and mother of my beautiful friend. She had a strength and elegance about her even a 10 year old could see. She had such grace and patience. She always seemed to know what was needed and acceptable. She gathered and included. Her strength was monumental yet comforting. She just knew.
A few little things huge to me:
Darlene let me go to Rhonda’s ballet and tap classes so I could learn from watching because she knew I couldn’t afford to enroll. She always shared however she could.
She disciplined me as her own and honored me by asking for my help a few times.
