Darrell Mott's Obituary
Darrell Gene Mott, 64, passed away on September 4, 2019 at home surrounded by his family. He was born July 18, 1955 to Benjamin and LaVerne (Crase) in Tulsa, Ok.He met Rhonda Snider while attending Tulsa Public Schools. They were married in Henryetta, Ok on October 13, 1972. To this Union was born three sons, Johnathan Bradley (Brad), Jody Gene, and Jeremiah Franklin.He was preceded in death by sons Jody and Jeremiah and both parents.He attended East Central High School in Tulsa, Ok where he was a member of the band. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Broken Arrow, Ok and was a member of the choir.Darrell was an avid hunter and fisherman. He would spend hours upon hours in his deer stand, so much so, his son and fellow hunters thought they would have to go find him. He loved to travel with Rhonda and their grandson, Matthew. He also loved watching Matthew play sports, especially football. Matthew was his pride and joy.Darrell is survived by his wife, Rhonda of the home, son and daughter-in-law, Brad and Kerry Mott of Catoosa, his grandson, Matthew of Catoosa, sister Patty Mott, brother and sister-in-law, Gerald and Tricia Mott, sisters-in-law in law, Cinda and husband Tom of Fort Gibson, Ok, Brenda Thompson of Henryetta, and Linda Abitbol of Tulsa, 13 nieces and nephews, and numerous great nieces and nephews.In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you make a donation to the American Cancer Society, his wife’s quilting fund, daughter-in-law’s yarn fund, or the charity of your choice.A celebration of Darrell’s life will be held Monday, September 9, 2019 at 2:00 pm at Floral Haven Rose Chapel with internment to follow at the Garden of Gethsemane. There will be a reception to follow at the family center at Floral Haven. Viewing will be Sunday, September 8, 2019 from 3:00-8:00pm.
