Daryl Lee Barnes' Obituary
Daryl Lee Barnes, age 51, passed from this life on November 17, 2025, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was born on January 20, 1974, at Minot Air Force Base in North Dakota, Daryl was the beloved son of Charles and Sherrie Barnes. From an early age, his artistic spirit and creative imagination shone brightly, shaping the unique path he walked throughout his life.
Daryl’s love for storytelling and creativity was evident in everything he did. He was an avid fan of anime, Star Wars, and Star Trek, finding joy and inspiration in the worlds of science fiction and fantasy. His enthusiasm carried him to Comic-Con events, where he delighted in crafting and wearing his own costumes, each one a testament to his talent and dedication. His creativity extended beyond costuming; Daryl authored and published his own book, sharing his imagination with the world in yet another lasting way.
Those who knew Daryl remember him not only for his talents but for the warmth and light he brought into their lives. He was a great individual whose kindness touched family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His presence will be deeply missed, but his legacy of creativity will continue to inspire.
Daryl is preceded in death by his mother Sherrie Lee Barnes whom he will be laid to rest with. Left to cherish Daryl’s memory is his father Charles Barnes Jr., and other family members and friends.
A celebration of Daryl's life will be held on Thursday, November 20, 2025 at 10AM at Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel. Daryl will be laid to rest with his beloved mother, Sherrie.
