I first met Dave when he was a mechanic at Tulsa Truck Rental and I delivered for Castle Metals. Dave and I took to eachother and enjoyed a long friendship which includes the years he and Wynema and my wife, Jean, and I were owner/operators and ran long haul. We were honered to be asked to their 50th wedding anniversary celebration a few years ago. Dave and Wynema are good, salt of the earth folks. We shall miss Dave and pray God's comfort for Wynema. Uncle David was not only a wonderful role model for his sons, grandsons and nephews. He was also my teacher. He taught me how to be caring and understanding along with how to work on my truck that he helped me finish rebuilding. We spent several nights out in the barn with the drum of diesel burning slowly to keep up warm as he showed me a few of his "secrets" of the trade that most mechanics "don't want the average person knowing because they won't make any money that way."The memories that I have are fond and plentiful. I can only imagine the joyous times that you are having in heaven sfter seeing his loving family and my grandpa and grandma. All I can say is thank you uncle david, and may you have peace in your heart and a smile on your face. I love you more than anyone can imagine and I know you knew that. God Bless.
Lit a candle in memory of Dave Dean Richardson
Uncle David was a wonderful man. He NEVER met a stranger. He always had a smile on his face and no matter how bad of a mood you were in, he would make you laugh. My heart aches so bad, but I know that he is watching over all of us and will be with us every step of the way. Our family was so blessed to have this man in our lives. I know he is fishing the lakes and rivers of heaven and will have many stories to tell us all when we get there. RIP Uncle David, I miss you more than you will ever know and I love you forever. I love you all and my thoughts and prayers are with each and every one of you.
I remember when our shetlin pony rode dad in the pond and dad stayed on. Came to the house later with bridal in hand. We ask him were the horse was and he said drowned and he turned and looked and the horse was following him to the house.
