David Alan Boyle's Obituary
David Alan Boyle, age 65, a resident of the Gran Tara Lake Community in Afton OK, unexpectedly passed away on Wednesday, March 25, 2026 in his home. David was born on November 8, 1960 in Fort Scott, KS to Jack and Phyllis (Wilmoth) Boyle. David attended elementary school in Tulsa and moved to Jenks where he graduated in 1979. He attended Oklahoma State University before starting his career as a manager at Safeway, and then became a manager of logistics with a few different companies. He retired as Corporate Logistics Manager at ParagonFilms in January 2025. David married the love of his life and best friend, Tonya, in August 1991. They settled in Broken Arrow, OK with their children Jenny and Jeff. After the kids graduated high school, David and Tonya moved to Danville, KY for 5 years following his career. He later transferred to Algonquin, IL, before coming back to Broken Arrow in 2007. The couple loved being at Grand Lake and were fortunate to purchase the same lake home his parents owned a decade before. They retired there in the Gran Tara Lake community full time just one year ago and have been so blessed to call this community home. David was: a loving and loyal husband, a devoted son and brother, a calm and supportive parent, a gentle and patient Papa, a genuine friend and coworker, who was highly respected and knew the value of working hard and planning ahead.
David is survived by his wife, Tonya, father Jack Boyle, brother Doug Boyle (Brenda), father-in-law Willis Bromley, daughter and son-in-law Jenny and Ben Adams, son and daughter-in-law Jeff and Carrie Strimple. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Molly, Drake, Jentry, and Hailey. David was greeted in heaven by his mother Phyllis Boyle and his mother-in-law Mary Jane Bromley.
The service will be at Floral Haven in Broken Arrow, OK on Friday, April 3, at 12:30. There will be a reception held at the Family Life Center immediately following the service. Pastor Ben Lindsly from Cleora Community Church will officiate.
An option in lieu of flowers, the family has suggested a memorial contribution to Cleora Community Fire Department at 30577 S. Hwy 85, Afton, OK 74331 or the charity of your choice. These may be left with the funeral home or mailed directly.
