David Leroy Hyams' Obituary
David Leroy Hyams, 83, passed away on March 18*, 2026, in Tulsa Oklahoma. Born on August 8th, 1942, In Ashland Ohio, David lived a life marked by service, dedication, and a love for bringing joy to others.
David proudly served his country as a member of the United States Air Force and later continued his commitment to national defense with the Air National Guard. His sense of duty extended beyond military service; he also served as a reserve police officer and worked as an independent contractor during his professional career. Even in retirement David remained active and engaged in his community.
A man of many talents and interest, David found great joy working on the farm. Whether tending to the land or simply enjoying the outdoors, he cherished the simple pleasures of rural life. Known for his humor and ability to make people laugh, David brought lightheartedness and fun to those around him.
David was a devoted member of Beggs Assembly of God, where he found spiritual fulfillment and fellowship. His faith was an important part of his life and guided him though many chapters.
He is survived by his wife Cindy, his son Chad, grandson Cahill, and granddaughter Caylee.
His niece Debbie Gross (Zane Ohio), nephews Steve Hissong (Chery Ohio), Tom Hissong (Reve Texas), Terry Hissong (Layle Arkansas, Thomas Steely (Stephanie Oklahoma), and many great nieces and nephews. He was preceded by his parents, Anne and Buss, his sister Yvonne, and other loved ones who undoubtedly welcomed him home.
David's memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him. May his legacy of laughter, service, and kindness bring comfort to all who mourn his passing.
Memorial service will be held Friday, March 27, 2026 at 11:00 AM at First Assembly of God (400 E Main St, Beggs, OK 74421)
