I was fortunate enough to know Dave and work with him during my career at American Airlines. I was originally hired and placed in the Landing Gear Shop to learn from him with the idea that eventually I would take over his position as the support Engineer. While my career progressed in a different direction, it was a privilege and honor to work with him and know him and call him a friend. My wife Karla also worked as an Office Admin for a Vendor office at AA and was close friends with Amy as well. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family and we send our deepest sympathy and condolences and pray a peace will calm your hearts and your spirits will be lifted. Fred and Karla Ford

Uncle David was always there for my Dad (Roger). When Dad was in the hospital, Uncle David was a frequent visitor. When Carrie Underwood won American Idol, Dad was in the hospital and Uncle David came to watch the show with him. All the family picnics at Grand Point on Grand lake, the fun times at his boat house at duck creek landing. He will hold a special place in my heart for being a great uncle in my early years and a wonderful brother for my Dad. There are too many memories for this short space. Hugs and prayers for Carole, Jenny, Andy and all the grand kids and great grand kids. Oh, and one more time for Uncle David: Boomer Sooner.

I have lots of memories with Uncle David. Family picnics at Grand Point on Grand Lake. His boat house at duck creek landing, waiting at Thomas's restaurant on Mothers day. I have heard lots of stories from y Dad, like putting together a swing set in his back yard. My Dad (Roger) told me even tho David is an engineer, he still had trouble setting up the swing set. Uncle David was always there for my Dad. Dad was in the hospital when Carrie Underwood won American Idol. Uncle David was there with Dad to watch. Just one example. There are too many more for this space. Hugs and prayers for Carole, Jenny and Andy and all the grand-kids and great grand kids. May your many wonderful memories bring you comfort. I am replaying 20-something years of knowing David. I most appreciate his kindness. He loved and cared for the people around him and expressed his feelings freely. I wish miss David's warmth and compassion. All my love to Carole, Jenny, and Andy (and the rest of you)-- you sure had a one in David!
