David Lee Minton's Obituary
David “Dave” Lee Minton, 70, of Broken Arrow, OK, passed away on November 4, 2017.Dave was born on January 22, 1947, in Parsons, KS. He is preceded in death by his parents Don and Phyllis Minton, and his wife Peggy Minton. He is survived by his sister Marian Cox of Springfield, MO, and his brother Steve Minton and sister-in-law Carol Minton of Springfield, MO. He is also survived by his four children, ten grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Children are John “Darren” and Carri (Crouch) Minton of Tulsa, OK, parents of Jordan (Minton) and Chris Kizer, and Hannah (Minton) and Jeremy Broyles, parents of great grandchildren Nikolette and Cambria, and Hailey Crouch; Doug and Michelle (Hughey) Minton of Bixby, OK, parents of Lillian and Adam; Michael and Kimberly (Mills) Minton of Tulsa, OK, parents of Drew, Zach, and Maggie; and Jessica (Minton) and Lee Gardner of Broken Arrow, OK, parents of Eli and Makenna.Dave was an Air Force veteran who served in Okinawa, Japan, during the Vietnam War. He was a retired air traffic controller who was an avid baseball fan, and enjoyed watching his grandkids play sports, traveling with his siblings, watching movies, and reading.Dave will be greatly missed by his family and friends, who take comfort in knowing he will be laid to rest beside his beloved wife Peggy—Happy Together!Graveside services will be held at Floral Haven in Broken Arrow, OK, on Friday, November 10, 2017, at 12:30, with a gathering to follow in the Family Center.
