A pirate walks into a bar, orders a shot of Rum. The Bartender brings the rum, and as he sets it down, he notices the Pirate; There's a giant Ship's Wheel as a belt buckle.
"Hey there," says the Bartender "What's the deal with the belt buckle?"
"Arrr. . . " says the Pirate says "It's driving me nuts."
Jokes, 80's Playlists, an open bar and this time of year are reminders; Miss you Murph
I like to think, since it's Friday, and the rain stopped, you might send out an all-points-bulletin of "HH at 6. The only masks allowed Zorro, clown, Guy Fawkes, Darth Vader, Spiderman. . . .:) "
Miss you, Murph
Hey Murph –
Tomorrow marks 7 years, and it’s seven years of wishing you could be here. There are some great stories to update you on. I always smile when I flip thru the photo album and see you “cleaned-up well”, in grey and blue. (Yeah, Dallas colors, my bad.) I just wanted to confirm, in case you’d wonder; still miss you.
Dave, for whatever reason I'm thinking about you today. I think Billy Carrington "People Are Crazy" says it well. Maybe this one country song you'd be OK with Miss you, Holly"And I dropped by today to just say thanks and pray And I left a six pack right there on his grave And I said God is great, beer is good and people are crazyGod is great, beer is good and people are crazy."
Murph, it does not feel like a year. It feels more like 50. You are missed so much. In the little things, in the big things, everyday. You are missed. – Holly
Murph you and Sherri and your Kids Mike and April were our family for so may years. We all grew up with our kids and growing the Company. I only wish I had known about you having the medical problems I would have loved being there for you as you were like a brother to me. I know its to late now but I want you and yours to know that if anyone needs anything I'm here for you. We had so many great times that I'll treasure for the rest of my life, thanks for being part of it.
I have found e-mails, photographs, 80's songs, political news, lots of people I know, and anything with "Bixby" printed on it reminds me of Dave. It's bitter sweet. I have "created" a phrase for anytime I'm not doing much of anything, especially when there are still hours of daylight available. "Carpe Diem" does not mean _______. When I fill-in the blank, it's with things like "Watch another NCIS" or "doing next to nothing" or "worry about stuff". ItÃ?¢ââ??‰â??¢s all in my head, with Dave's voice and nuance behind it. A kind of Ã?¢ââ??¬Ã?â??What would Dave do?Ã?¢ââ??¬Ã? I will then agree, and change direction to then seize the day, even if itÃ?¢ââ??‰â??¢s in a small way. IÃ?¢ââ??‰â??¢m a novice at this, but I think with some practice, IÃ?¢ââ??‰â??¢ll make the minors. Miss you Murph. Miss you a ton.
I was lucky enough to be Dave's and Sherrie's host in Las Vegas for over 10 years, when I retired in February of this year they made a point of coming to see me the Friday before I left, we had a nice lunch together like we did most of the time he came in, I never looked at Dave and Sherrie as customers they were truly my friends and I will miss Dave, he would always ask how my wife was and my dogs. He also intoduced me to some great people thru the years. Lou Moretti
Our lives just won't be the same without Dave. Make each day count just as he did.
