David Pendergraft's Obituary
David Pendergraft, 74, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, passed away on February 1, 2026.
He was born on February 26, 1951, in Poteau, Oklahoma, to Mervyn and Lucille Pendergraft.
David married the love of his life, Patricia Barnhart, on June 5, 1971, and together they built a life centered on loyalty, commitment, and family. David was a proud United States Army veteran who bravely served his country during the Vietnam War, a chapter of his life that reflected his strength, courage, and sense of duty.
Known as a man who was tough but fair, David carried a quiet strength. He was reserved and private by nature, yet those who truly knew him understood the depth of his big heart and unwavering loyalty. Family meant everything to David, and he showed his love through steadfast presence and devotion rather than words.
David enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. He loved riding motorcycles, collecting coins, and spending time outdoors camping and fishing. These hobbies brought him peace and joy and reflected his appreciation for independence and tradition.
David will be remembered as a man of integrity, loyalty, and deep love for his family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him
David is preceding in death by his parents and sister Loretta Morris.
David is survived by his wife of 54 years Patty Pendergraft, son Jeff Pendergraft, son David Pendergraft and wife Angie, brother Curtis Pendergraft, brother Joe Don Creek, granddaughters Khloe Pendergraft, Allison Karnes and husband Kaid, Maggie Pendergraft and fiancé Max Kramer, along with numerous nieces, nephews, friends and loved ones.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 4th, 2026 from 5-7 PM at Floral Haven Funeral Home
Funeral service will be held Thursday, February 5th, 2026 at 10:00 AM at Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel
Interment will take place at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens - Veteran Extension II
