David Xavier Price's Obituary
David Xavier Price also known as Davey or Bingus was 17 months old when he passed away on Friday May 1st, 2026. He passed away at Oklahoma city children's hospital, just shy of a year and a half old.
Davey was born on 11/27/2024 at the OKC children's hospital to his parents Hailey and Patrick Price. Davey was a heart warrior, fighting HLHS with a leaky tricuspid valve. He had many surgeries done in his short life. He was 6 days old the first time they had to do an open heart surgery, followed by one at 12 days old. He then came home a month later, and had a third open heart surgery at 6 months old. After that one he stopped eating so he stayed in the hospital for 7 months trying to get him to eat again, he wouldn't so he had a surgery to get a G tube. He then came home for 5 months before another open heart surgery on March 28th, 2026. After that surgery his body started shutting down and his heart started failing. He had one final surgery April 20, 2026 to try and ease the pressure in his heart but his body couldn't handle it anymore.
His hometown is Tulsa. He loved music, sesame street, curious George, swinging, Daddy's singing, walking — with Mommy's help of course, snuggles, doggies and kitties, he would giggle at the birds in the Walmart parking lot, his Gamgam’s songs, books, and he would go crazy over his little straw cup, his puppy stuffed animal, and he loved blowing kisses and waving at everyone even though he couldn't help but be a little shy! He attended the Broken Arrow Seventh Day Adventist church with his Mom and Gamgam. He liked random sounds, his dad played a game where the soundtrack was just sounds and he giggled at it so we would mimic the sounds and he would just laugh and laugh, he also loved when we mimicked the transformers sounds. He had a special taste in food too! When he would try foods he liked lime, chocolate!, broccoli, steak, mashed potatoes, his first solid to actually accept was an ice cream sandwich!
Davey is survived by many including Mom and dad - Hailey and Patrick Price, Gamgam - Lisa Cogburn, his uncles Chase Palmateer, David Sisco, Damon Price, Jimmy Cogburn, and his BA church. Thank you to the BA SDA church for covering major funeral expenses.

David was a very sweet and loving boy. You would never even know what he went through if his shirt was on. He brightened every room with that little smile. He will be very missed.
