David Patrick Ruppert's Obituary
David Patrick Ruppert, age 37, of Perkins, Oklahoma entered the kingdom of heaven on March 3, 2025. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Peter Donohoe, Keith and Signe Ruppert, and Aunt, Teri Hess. He is survived by his parents, Kent and Kathy Ruppert, grandmother, Jean Donohoe, sister Cherise Rains and her life partner Kevin Way, nephews, Joseph Wiley and Aiden Rains, numerous Aunts, Uncles, cousins, and many friends
David graduated from Broken Arrow High School in 2005. He was a member of the Pride of Broken Arrow. He continued his education at the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville and graduated with a bachelor's in general business. He joined the Navy and served our country honorably for 13 years. After his service, he enrolled in the Oklahoma State University aviation program where he was pursuing his dream of becoming a professional pilot.
David was a musician. He played clarinet, saxophone, bass guitar and guitar. He was clarinet section leader in the Pride of Broken Arrow and went on to play in the Razorback marching band in college. David enjoyed cooking and was an accomplished baker. His breads, cakes, cookies, and other treats were enjoyed by many. David loved flying and was looking forward to his career as a pilot. He loved animals, especially his dog Timber (Timmy), and volunteered his time at the Humane Society of Stillwater as a dog walker.
David was such a bright light on this earth, and his passing leaves the world a bit dimmer, and leaves a huge hole in the hearts of all who knew and loved him
David will be laid to his final rest at the Fort Gibson National Cemetery on Monday, March 31, 2025 at 11:00AM. A reception will follow on Monday, March 31st, 2025 at Floral Haven Family Center from 12:00PM till 2:00PM. A memorial service to honor David’s life will immediately follow the reception on Monday, March 31, 2025 at 2:00PM at Floral Haven’s Rose Chapel. David’s honorary pallbearers are Kent Ruppert, Jospeh Wiley, Aiden Rains, Jeff Sparks, Zach Wilson, and Brian Pflanz.
Our family would like to thank the Perkins Police Department and especially officer Jason Thompson, Strode Funeral Home and all the compassionate and caring employees there, and all of the many wonderful family and friends who have reached out to us to share their love, support, and prayers during this extremely difficult time.
