30 plus years ago I remember riding a motorcyle to a ballpark on north memorial street in tulsa. I had just started my career and needed some good ball players. It was there that I met Dave Simmons for the first time.He must have told me about every player that was there, schools they represented and more importantly if they really could play. I so appreciated his honesty and his passion for the sport.He had some great teams.I was also fortunate to have one of his eagles, sarah carriger who was definitely a difference maker.
