David Ray Taylor's Obituary
David Ray Taylor, beloved father and friend; born Monday, August 3, 1931 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to his loving parents, Cecil & Iva Taylor; went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 12, 2017 in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. A lifelong resident of Oklahoma, David was born and raised in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. David served his country honorably and proudly in the United States Air Force. After his service to his country David met and later married the love of his life, Louise, on August 27, 1955 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. They settled and started their family in Tulsa, where David eventually went to work in 1962 with World Press now known as Tulsa World Newspaper as a pressman; retiring from there in 1993. David enjoyed many things in his free time such as working in the yard or in his shop, reading, traveling and going on drives. What he was truly passionate about was his family that he loved so dearly. Fond memories will always be cherished of David by all those who had their lives touched by him; he will be deeply missed. David is preceded in death by his beloved wife Louise Taylor; his loving parents, Cecil & Iva Taylor. David is survived by his loving children, Steve Taylor, wife Suzan, of Cypress, Texas, Brian Taylor, wife Brenda, of Houston, Texas and Sheryl Brewer, husband Larry, of Broken Arrow, OK. Grandchildren Kaleigh Shannon, husband, Matt and Kennady Brewer. Great Grandchildren, Camden and Brock Shannon. A visitation will be held on Thursday, March 16, 2017 from 5:00PM to 8:00PM at Floral Haven Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 17, 2017 at 1:00PM at First Baptist Church of Broken Arrow; 100 W Albany Street; Broken Arrow, Oklahoma 74012. Services have been entrusted to Floral Haven Funeral Home, Floral Shop, Crematory & Memorial Gardens, 6500 S 129th E Ave; Broken Arrow, Oklahoma 74012.
