I met Tony in the mid-70's through my best friend at the time, Steve Chamberlain. I knew Tony for quite a few years before I had the privilege of playing bass for him in the late 70's. This article describes him well … he was a GREAT guy, and a GREAT entertainer. I'm so sorry I didn't find out about his passing at the time, and wasn't able to be there to pay my last respects. I have a lot of great memories of Tony and I learned a lot from him over the years. Rest In Peace my friend, and I'll be looking forward to playing together again in Heaven someday!

The obituary that was written here and in the Tulsa World was right on about Tony, he was the gentle gentleman that every mother wants her son to be. The world lost a wonderful man on the 24th of September. I am so sorry I cannot be there to offer my condolences in person since I just hear about the loss and I live in Kerrville, TX. My thoughts and prayers are with all his loved ones on this day and days to come. The time I spent with Tony in the 60's and 70's were some of the most wonderful times of my life. I feel like he is now playing and writing again, forming his own new band and will be ready for us when we see him again.

I REMEMBER TONY WITH LOTS OF GREAT MEMORIES. WE WENT ALL THE WAY THROUGH ROBERTSON, CLINTON AND WEBSTER TOGETHER. HE WAS MY FIRST "CRUSH". HIS EASY LAUGH, FRIEND TO EVERYONE AND SO VERY TALENTED. I REMEMBER FRENCHY BROWNS AND HOW COMFORTABLE I FELT AS A SINGLE WOMAN (AT THE TIME). I WAS THERE OPENING NIGHT. IT WAS MY FIRST DATE WITH MY SOON TO BE HUSBAND. TONY WILL BE MISSED BY EVERYONE FORTUNATE TO KNOW HIM. HE WILL ALWAYS BE WITH US IN OUR MEMORIES.
