David Monroe Ward's Obituary
David Monroe Ward passed away at his home in Tulsa at the age of 87 on
November 25th 2023. He was born in Tulsa Oklahoma at Morningside Hospital on
January 9th, 1936.
David proudly served in the Marine Corp from 1953-1956 during the Korean War.
Being a natural born and famed Artist, He has his Western paintings displayed by collectors Worldwide. David established art Galleries in Jenks and Sapulpa Oklahoma. His talents also enabled him to venture into the business world with two sign companies, Creative Illuminations and Ward Sign Company. Always the Entrepreneur, David was continuously looking for the next opportunity.
Survived by 3 daughters: Jeanette Hall of Bixby Oklahoma, Susan Latendresse of Oologah Oklahoma, Gail Smith of Broken Arrow Oklahoma. 1 son: Brian Ward of Tulsa Oklahoma. 1 sister: Jeanelle McNew of Nashville Tennessee.
8 Grandchildren, 11 Great Grandchildren, 1 Great Great Grandchild, and his faithful companion Molly.
David was preceded in death by wife Marlene and son Michael, his parents Grayden Ward and Thelma Campbell, brother Grady Ward and Sister Delight Huckans.
