Our friend David, no doubt, is shooting baskets with the angels & having a blast!
While he will be sorely missed in his family’s life and all of us he touched, I celebrate in the truth of His wholeness & joy in the presence of Jesus!
Highlight memory some 25 yrs ago— ( while the details are dim, the take away point is crystal clear ) David was a coach for my son’s bball team in high school. One day after a game, we were briefly discussing it & the outcome & I made a comment about how the players personality influenced how they performed or played a certain way. (i was teaching personality/ temperament classes at the time.) With a little laugh , His response was heartfelt & priceless!
“Well, tell me some more; maybe it can help me understand these boys and be a better coach!!” - the true heart of David Winn!
We love you David & Kim !

My wife Sue and myself first met David and Kim when we moved from OKC to Tulsa and started attending at that time Tulsa Calvary Church of the Nazarene. I played trumpet along with David and we would enjoy adding our music ministry to the services on Sunday. A love for God and Church, a great personality, a caring heart, a difference maker and a blessing was part of a definition of a life lived for Jesus. Although our paths so quickly took different directions and it’s been many years since we had talk or seen David or Kim. Sue and I were blessed to share moments with you. Thank you for giving to the Lord!!

David and Kim were neighbors of ours and Kim worked at the same company we did. Speaking with Kim one day she told me how disappointed David was that my yard looked so much better than his and he never saw me working on it. I let Kim know I was using a lawn service and she couldn't wait to tell David and laughing as she walked away. Truely a family you loved to be around.

My wife Anna and I were blessed to be part of Tulsa Hills Church of the Nazarene for a few years. The first invite for Sunday lunch was from Kim & David.....That was one act of love by a very loving new church family that helped both of us, begin a healing process that we needed. We will always cherish the time we spent at Tulsa Hills and love Kim and David.....I remember praying with David so many times and locking our shields of faith together for his complete healing.

David has his complete healing. Our love goes out to Kim and all the kids and for everything they gave us and continue to mean to us.

David will be missed and we will see him again. I cannot play B-ball to save my life, but I imagine when we reunite David will fix that issue.

Love , laughter and lollipops to you Kim, we grieve, rejoice and cry with you and will see you Saturday.....

David is healed and whole! A remarkable man. My story goes back to high school! Wagoner and Muskogee Nazarene youth groups did a lot of stuff together. We had a lot of fun. On a float trip down the Illinois river I last my watch. We were all kind of looking for it. It’s pretty swift. David jokingly said “oh I’ve got it’s right here”. Reached into the water and somehow actually pulled it out of the water. We all looked in disbelief - him included. Then we just praised the Lord for answered prayer and caring about what matters to us. We all learned a lesson that day. His legacy will live on the lives touched by him!

My memories of my Uncle David will always be him playing basketball at every family get together and church function. It was a staple in the Winn family and taken very seriously, but always so fun spending that time with the family. He will be so very missed. ❤️
