Dr. Dean Henry Diment's Obituary
Dean H. Diment, M.D. Dr. Dean H. Diment passed away on Friday, October 17, 2014. He was born on February 12, 1932, in Correctionville, Iowa, to Henry and Iona Diment. Dr. Diment proudly served as a medic in the U.S. Air Force until 1953. Upon graduating from the OU College of Medicine, and completion of residency at University of Chicago, he practiced in Oklahoma City and Tulsa for forty years. Dr. Diment, cherished his family and extended family of many friends. He nurtured positive qualities in others and offered sincere encouragement and assistance to all that had the fortune of his acquaintence. Dr. Diment changed the lives of many, and delivered many bundles of joy in his practice. He had sincere zest and love for life, whether human or animal, and his heart knew no strays. He is preceded in death by his brothers, Donald, Archie, and Ardell. He is survived by his wife of more than 40 years, Beverly; son, David Diment, M.D. (Barbara); cherished grandsons, Dirk David and Eric Dean; sisters Darlene Teller, Betty Griepp, and Carole McCuddin; beloved nieces, nephews, and godchildren. Join in the celebration of life of Dr. Diment’s Memorial Service at Boston Ave. Methodist Rose Chapel, 2 p.m. Tues. Oct. 21, 2014, officiated by Dr. Tankersley; Committal service to be held 1 p.m. Tues. Oct. 21, 2014 at Floral Haven Veterans Circle; and visitation will be available Monday, Oct. 20, 2014, noon-7 p.m., at Floral Haven. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
