Deanna Stephenson's Obituary
Deanna Stephenson, 77 of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma passed from this life on Saturday, January 30, 2021 in a Tulsa hospital. She was born August 12, 1943 in Dewar, Oklahoma to her parents, Melvin Durbin and Ruby Dodds Durbin. On January 23, 1965 she married the love of her life, Billy Joe Stephenson and started their lives together, creating lasting memories over the past 56 years.
Deanna is survived by her loving husband, Bill Stephenson of the home; two children, Michelle Heritage-Shales and her husband David of Bixby, Oklahoma and Darren Brent Stephenson and his wife Gretchen of Tulsa, Oklahoma; two sisters-in-law, Jane Thompson and her husband Mike of San Antonio, Texas and Charlotte Cornelius also of San Antonio, Texas; six grandchildren, Chase Heritage, Ashlyn Heritage, Hannah Stephenson, Luke Stephenson, Ashley Shales and Lauren Shales; a special cousin, Lana Dark and her husband Tommy; and many wonderful nieces, nephews, cousins, lifelong friends and extended family members. She was preceded in death by her parents, Melvin and Ruby Durbin; one son, Bryon Stephenson; and a sister, Delores McIntosh.
Visitation will be held from 3-6 p.m. on Thursday, February 4, 2021 at Floral Haven Funeral Home.
Due to gravity of the circumstances and the result the pandemic has brought into our lives, current conditions have necessitated measures prohibiting a customary farewell. Funeral services will be held in the Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel with limited seating at 10:00 AM on Friday, February 5, 2021 with interment immediately following. For those that wish to watch the service via a live-stream feed, instructions are posted at the bottom of this obituary.
