Deborah Morton's Obituary
Deborah Ann Morton (Debbie) 69, of Branson, Missouri passed away on July 6 2021 due to respiratory failure after defeating cancer.
Debbie was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on July 8th, 1951. An active girl, Debbie spent much of her time playing golf, tennis and shooting guns with her two brothers and her father. She graduated from Memorial high school in 1969 in Tulsa. It was in High School that she went on a blind date on Friday the 13th with David Morton which proved to be a lucky day for an entire family. Debbie was married to David on Friday the 13th of August 1971 they remained married for 49 years. Debbie took the often-maligned title of homemaker to heart and worked tirelessly over the decades to ensure the home was warm, welcoming, and full of love for her husband, two children, 7 grandchildren as well as all the extended family. Debbie was at the heart of every family gathering. A consummate hostess, Debbie gave freely and happily to ensure all under their roof were cared for with laughter, hugs, and delicious German chocolate brownies. After David’s retirement, Debbie continued her work as a homemaker, making a new home; restful and relaxing just outside of Branson Missouri.
