I had only just met Debra recently through Heritage, and on Wednesday night Bible study. The thing that always impressed me was her scrappiness. Obviously at this point in her life, illness had taken a toll - but she was so tenacious about attending and participating. It was very inspirational. And the last conversation we had, she was encouraging me on my concerns for my baby niece with T1D, with the story of her own family member that had grown up with T1D and managed perfectly.
Seeing this picture of her, and knowing she was restored to the most beautiful version of Debra the second she joined the Savior brings joy.
Wish peace and blessings to the Rummel family as they celebrate a tremendous mother and wife.
