DeEtta Mae Geller Hawk
On July 30, 1963 in Oklahoma City, orphan baby Christina Hill was born.
Already in the works, adoption parents Bill and Margene Geller of Sand Springs (now deceased) were on hand. Geller owned and operated the Geller Heating and Air Co. of Sand Springs.
Upon adoption, the baby's name was changed to DeEtta Mae Geller, “Dee”. She grew up, went to school and lived primarily in Sand Springs until leaving home.
All her life Dee loved puppies, kittens, toddlers, ocean beaches and lighthouses. She loved seeing the world.
March of 1980, Dee and Samuel “Si” Hawk of Tulsa were married in a ceremony with family and friends..
On April 1983, God blessed Dee and Si with a beautiful baby boy, Samuel S. Hawk Jr.
Over the years, Dee wore many hats, The Metropolitan Tulsa Chamber of Commerce, Thrifty Car Rental, managing a Radio Shack Store, Sprint in Kansas City, Bank of Oklahoma, and several other jobs. At the time of her death she worked remotely as a Application Architect for Pega Systems, Inc. in Massachusetts.
At approximately 7:00 PM on January 15, Dee succumbed to pneumonia and infection and our Heavenly Father took our loving angel to be with family and friends above.
Dee is survived by husband of 46 years, Si Hawk, son Sam Hawk Jr. and his wife Maria Teresa Hawk and additionally grandsons Francisco and Agustin of Tulsa .
Other surviving family members are cousin Jennifer Fox of Sand Springs and Kristen Shepard of Texas, brother-in-law C.S. Hawk and his wife Amelia of Mississippi and their daughter, Dee's niece Alexandra Hawk.
Visitation will be from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, on Sunday, February 1, 2026, Floral Haven Funeral Home and the Funeral Service will be 3:00 PM, Monday, February 2, 2026 at Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel.
