Deidra and I were an amazing team together. We had been together for about 8.5yrs and got engaged about 4 years ago. It really didn't matter what we were doing as long as we were doing it together. Deidra loved her three children so very much and she absolutely adored her two grandbabies. We spent a lot of time cheering on our kids in various sports and hanging out with our wonderful friends. She was adventurous and loved hiking trails, taking long walks, riding motorcycles, going for a cruise in our cars, etc. She served at Life Church for over 6yrs and loved serving God. The trips to Florida to visit her sister, brother-in-law and nieces was something she always looked forward to and couldn't wait to turn around and go again. Deidra was a daddy's girl and she helped him fix just about anything he ever set his mind to. Deidra truly had the most beautiful heart and soul. She sure helped me to become closer to God, to appreciate the smaller things in life and to be a better man. I l rarely called her by her name and always got her attention in a variety of ways like calling or texting D, beautiful, gorgeous, sweetie, hottie, etc. She sure put up an amazing fight against her various medical challenges which was primarily the lung infection and she protected us all from the pain that she suffered daily. I could go on and on writing about all her amazing qualities, but I will end with I LOVE YOU TONS, I MISS YOU VERY MUCH and I WILL SEE YOU AGAIN IN HEAVEN. (As you used to often call me) Your loving sweet man, Steve.
I am so very sorry for your loss and praying the Lord's comfort surrounds you.
