Delmer "Ray" Marquis' Obituary
Delmer “Ray” Marquis, age 85, died Sunday, at St. John’s Hospital, after a long bout with cancer. He was surrounded by his beloved wife, Margarette, his daughter Drew, and son, Skip Ashley.Delmer was a Staff Sergeant during the Korean War. He was retired as a master mechanic from McDonnell Douglas. His talents were too many to mention. He was loved and respected by every member of his community and will be sorely missed. If love alone could have saved him, he would still be here.A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2014, at 3:00 PM, and the St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, in Tulsa, OK, with a reception immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Marine Corps League or St. Luke’s Episcopal Church.
