Deniese Louise Dillon age 72, passed from this life on Thursday, May 1, 2025, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was born on February 24, 1953, in Iowa Falls, Iowa, to Lowell James Christensen and Opal (Finola) Christensen. Deniese’s life was one of extraordinary warmth, resilience, and unwavering love for others.
Those who knew Deniese will remember her as a beacon of light—her infectious laugh, gentle spirit, and encouraging words brought comfort and joy to countless lives. She had a heart that welcomed everyone. Her kindness was overwhelming, her forgiveness unconditional, and her belief in the strength to overcome life’s challenges was something she lived and taught by example.
Deniese had many passions in life, but her greatest joys were found in faith and family. She loved gospel music, the strength of community, and time spent surrounded by those she held dear. Her enduring love and constant support were a source of strength, and her presence brought peace in difficult moments. No one ever left her home or her arms without feeling deeply cared for.
She reminded us of all the power of grace and the beauty of perseverance. Her life was marked by compassion, laughter, and the ability to brighten even the darkest of days. Whether you were family, friend, or someone she had just met, she made you feel valued and accepted.
Deniese is survived by her sons, Jami Dillon and Jeremy Dillon (Tami) her beloved granddaughters, Ashley and Keleigh Dillon; her stepchildren, Andy (Kozue), Andrea (Shawn), and Nick (Caressa); and her grandchildren, Harrison, Avalyn, Reon, Aury, Ruthie, and Henry. She is also survived by many cherished friends and extended family members whose lives were touched by her love and presence.
Deniese’s love and legacy live on in the hearts of those she touched. Her life was a gift to us all, and she will be remembered always for her enduring strength, overwhelming kindness, and the deep, abiding love she gave so freely.
A celebration of life to honor Deniese will be held on Friday, May 9, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel located in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Denise McKinney will be officiating. Burial will follow at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens in the Garden of Gethsemane. Service are under the direction and care of Floral Haven Funeral Home. Those wishing to send flowers for the service may do so by contacting Floral Designs by Floral Haven at (918) 459-1525. Independent florists are kindly asked to deliver flowers directly to Floral Haven Funeral Home by 3:00 PM on Thursday, May 8, 2025, to ensure proper display for Deniese's service.
