Dennis Roy Clagg's Obituary
Dennis Roy Clagg, of Claremore, OK passed away unexpectedly in his home on July 6th, 2012. He was born November 25, 1947 in Monterey, CA to Glenn Lester and Alma Imogene Sutton Clagg. He was the oldest of 3 children. Dennis graduated from Duarte High School in 1965. He joined the United States Navy in 1967. Dennis served two tours of duty as a plane captain aboard the USS Constellation. When stateside he served at Naval Air Station Miramar with the air squadron VF143. He was honorably discharged in 1970. Dennis started working at the family business, Jackson Saw Works, in Pasadena, CA. He went on to become the sole proprietor of the business. In 1984 he and his family moved to Tiawah, OK where he purchased Claremore Industrial Tool from his father. He continued with his business until his death. Dennis is survived by his wife Debra Jean, two step-children, Richard Blackburn and wife Stephanie of Claremore, OK, Jamie McClanahan of Tulsa, OK. He is also survived by his five children of a previous marriage, Jonathan Clagg and wife Tina of Claremore, OK, Angella Lewis and husband Scott of Panama City, FL, Paul Clagg of Broken Arrow, OK, Mary Clagg of Panama City, FL and Benjamin Clagg and wife Lisa of Tulsa, OK. Dennis is survived by his mother and two sisters, Diane Cruz and husband Tony of Little Elm, TX, and Glenda Whitt of Kent, WA. He was blessed with 12 grandchildren. Dennis was proceeded in death by his father.
