Obituary for Dennis Mark DaltonDennis Mark Dalton, age 66, passed away on March 21, 2026, in Tulsa, Oklahoma.Dennis was born on September 8, 1959, in St. Louis, Missouri, to Robert L. and Barbara J. (Stricker) Dalton. He proudly served his country as a Sergeant in the United States Air Force, where he spent 13 years and 7 months traveling the world and visiting every continent except South America. His time in the Air Force shaped his lifelong commitment to service, discipline, and compassion for others. He had many adventures during those years and loved sharing the stories—always with humor, detail, and a spark of wonder.While stationed abroad, Dennis began teaching adult ESL (English as a Second Language) and High School Equivalent (GED) courses, a calling that continued long after his military service. Teaching allowed him to immerse himself in the cultures around him, discovering hidden treasures in each country that most people never had the chance to see. He believed deeply in the power of education and took great joy in helping others build confidence and create new opportunities for themselves.Dennis married the love of his life, Alies LaVauna Jordan, with whom he shared a life filled with devotion, humor, and unwavering partnership. Over the years, Alies heard countless stories from people whose lives Dennis had touched—stories of kindness, quiet support, and the way he made others feel included. Even his doctor reached out to share how much Dennis will be missed.He is survived by his wife, Alies Dalton; his children, Denny S. Dalton and Laura Hix; his parents, Robert L. and Barbara J. Dalton; his grandchildren, Anna Pyfrom, Laurel Dalton, Eliza Dalton, Louella Dalton, and Bailey Hix; his brother, Kerry Dalton; his sister, Jenny Dake; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews who cherished him.Dennis was preceded in death by his brother, Jeff Dalton.A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens, in the Spirit of Oklahoma Garden.Dennis will be remembered for his gentle spirit, his dedication to helping others, his love of history and genealogy, and the deep love he held for his family. His legacy lives on in the many lives he touched.
