Dennis J Shoemaker's Obituary
Dennis Shoemaker, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and educator, passed away on December 12, 2024, in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, at the age of 83. Born on October 25, 1941, in Hominy, Oklahoma, to Robert and Hazel Shoemaker.
On May 25, 1962, Dennis married the love of his life, Norma Casady, at the First Baptist Church in Tahlequah. Their union was a testament to love, companionship, and dedication for over 60 years. Together, they raised two sons, Daniel and Robert, who would carry on his legacy of integrity, laughter, and hard work.
Dennis was a passionate educator who devoted much of his life to shaping the minds of future generations. His intelligent, outgoing, and humorous nature made him a beloved teacher, and he was known for his ability to connect with his students, inspiring them both inside and outside the classroom.
Outside of his professional life, Dennis enjoyed the thrill of playing golf and riding motorcycles in his early age, but his true love was the time spent with his family. He was an avid lover of life—always quick with a joke, eager for adventure, and fiercely loyal to those he cared about. His intelligence and hardworking nature were admired by all who knew him.
