Destry Landon Chris Smith's Obituary
Destry Landon Chris Smith was born on November 1, 2002 in Tulsa, OK to Danielle Kapple. He graduated from Union High School in 2021. His young life was tragically cut short on December 29, 2022.
Destry had a passion for cars at a young age and it eventually landed him at a job he loved at Matthews Ford. Those that knew him knew he loved his car so much that he had named it Tracey, always insisting “Tracey with an E-Y”. Destry had a huge heart and was great with animals. He loved his dog, Charlie (or Charlie B. Barkin) and was rarely seen without him.
Family came first for Destry and he loved his mom with his whole heart. They were partners in crime, would always look out for one another and had a unique bond. He had a fierce protective instinct when it came to his mom and younger siblings. He was the true definition of a big brother. He was fun, outgoing, compassionate, and a jokester. His smile and his personality will never be forgotten.
Destry is survived by his mother, Danielle Kapple, his brothers Justice and Kingston Kapple and Boston Carby, his sisters Destiny Kapple and Shiloh Carby, grandparents Roger and Kathy Jones and Fred and Brandy Kapple, as well as aunts uncles, cousins and a host of family and friends.
Destry was preceded in death by his uncle Quinton Spradley.
There will be a huge hole left in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. There are some that bring a light so bright to the world that even after they are gone that light remains.
