Celebrating the life of Dewey Phillip Shelton, born on January 08, 1921, in Kellyville, Oklahoma, to Otis General and Maudie (Haile) Shelton. He went to his heavenly home, June 17, 2014 He married the love of his life, Donna Waldron on March 25, 1969, in Joplin, Missouri. Dewey will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Donna children, Larry “Bud Shelton and his wife, Beverly, Dianne Garland, Mike Dedmon and his wife Mattie, Dayle Reinkober and her husband a.k.a. special-in-law, Paul, and Patti Phipps and her husband, Jerry; 8 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchildren; brother, Leon Shelton; sisters, Willadene Hannah and Patsy Eakin, and very special nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; 6 siblings; son-in-law, Robert Garland; and the mother of his children, Evelyn Matherly. The family is planning a going home celebration in the near future. Burial is in the Floral Haven Memorial Gardens in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.Contributions in Dewey P. Shelton’s honor, can be made to the DAV Transportation Division.
