Diana Gaytan's Obituary
Diana Veliz Gaytan, 56, of Tulsa passed away August 3, 2021 surrounded by her family.She was born August 28, 1964 to Alejo Veliz and Mary Zoila Cruz Veliz. She was a dedicated employee of Target for the past 32 years, as well as a longtime member and teacher of the St. Thomas More Catholic Parish who loved spending time with her family, dancing, ‘80s music, Lifetime movies, and Diet Coke. Diana considered her greatest accomplishments to be raising her nine children and reaching level 200 in Candy Crush. Diana is survived by her nine children, but a proud and beloved mother to all. Offering unconditional love and support to those she crossed paths with, Diana left an everlasting impression during her time on Earth that will be cherished for the rest of our lives. She is preceded in death by her sister Tina Veliz, uncle Rodrigo Cruz, and grandson Antonio Hinch. Diana is survived by her husband, Martin Gaytan;her children, Martin Gaytan, Mari Martinez, Esa Gaytan, Leticia Gaytan, Marcos Gaytan, Veronica Gaytan, Andi Gaytan, Chiquita (Maricella) Gaytan, and Mario Gaytan; grand children Diana Gaytan, Hannah Gaytan, Jonathon Martinez, Joseph Gaytan, Cristian Martinez, Luis Hinch, Emma Laureles, Christina Martinez,Owen Laureles,Manny Gaytan, Mariana Martinez, Lucy Hinch, and Rodrigo Hinch; parents Alejo Veliz and Mary Zoila Cruz Veliz; and brother Alex Veliz. A funeral service in celebration of Diana’s life will be at 11AM, Wednesday, August 11, 2021 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church with interment at Floral Haven Cemetery.
