"Dixie" Donnie Joy Rice's Obituary
Donnie “Dixie” Rice, 69, retired administrative assistant for Southwest Counseling Services, passed away Tuesday, August 12, 2014. Dixie was born Donnie Joy Dixon, on March 24, 1945, to Alvin James and Gloria (Hickey) Dixon, in Liberal, Kansas. Dixie is survived by her children, Darla Orra and husband, Loy of Shattuck, Oklahoma, Duane Rice and wife, Christine of Milan, Illinois, Deanne Hampshire and husband, Sammy of Vidor, Texas, and Danny Rice; grandchildren, Trey Rice, Jaci Hawes, Rowdy Rice, Brandon Orr, Keith Orr, Mike Thomas, Marcus Thomas, Marcellus Thomas, Rhapsody Dugger, and Devon Howard; great-grandchildren, Tuezdai Hawes, Jasper Hawes, Bryleigh Thomas, Kehli Thomas, and Camillia Dugger; sister, Lynae Anderson and her husband, Dan; and aunt, nieces, nephews and cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents; a grandson, Matt Thomas; and a sister, Shirley Carlile. A memorial service will be held 10:00 AM, Saturday, August 16, 2014, at Kiesau-Lee Chapel in Clinton, Oklahoma.
