Dominic Herman's Obituary
Dominic Herman, age 95, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed away October 27, 2018. He was born May 25, 1923 in Penokee, Kansas to John A. and Elizabeth Herman. He was a founding member of St. Benedict Catholic Church of Broken Arrow. He loved his family and enjoyed nothing more than spending time with them.As a young man, he became a farmer, working the land and raising livestock. His lifelong love of baseball was evident in his years of playing and coaching Little League teams. He was active in the Knights of Columbus and served as Grand Knight in the western Kansas council.Along with his wife, Lucilla, Dominic enjoyed serving as a 4- H leader, playing cards with friends and dancing. Dominic was a devoted husband, father, grandpa, great grandpa. He touched many lives and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.Dominic was preceded in death by his parents, John and Elizabeth Herman; 3 brothers Herbert, Richard and Robert Herman; sister Isabel Gerstberger.Dominic is survived by his wife, of nearly 73 years, Lucilla Herman; sister Eleanor Kreutzer; daughters Terri Broadbooks (Mike), Jennifer Herman, Loretta Walker, and Dianna Rowland (Chuck); sons Dave Herman, Bill Herman, Ron Herman (Leslie), and Dean Herman (Jenny); 17 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
