Baker, Don Lee's Obituary
Don Lee Baker, age 81, passed away on April 13, 2026, in Drumright, Oklahoma. He was born on March 6, 1945, at Fort Sill Army Base in Oklahoma to Robert Lee Baker and Thelma Mary (Bach) Baker.
Don lived a life defined by honesty, hard work, and an unwavering dedication to his family. He was deeply rooted in the automotive world, spending much of his life buying and selling cars. His family proudly owned the first independent used car lot in Tulsa, a legacy that reflected both their entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to their community. Don carried that same integrity into his own work—he was known for being so honest that he would openly tell customers exactly what was wrong with a car before selling it. His straightforward nature, combined with his attention to detail, earned him the trust and respect of many.
A true family man, Don was the kind of person who always looked out for others. He was generous to a fault, never hesitating to lend a hand or offer support when someone needed it most. He was known for being blunt, yet genuine—someone who spoke the truth with sincerity and cared deeply for those around him.
Outside of work, Don found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He had a strong love for food, especially Mexican cuisine, and rarely turned down a cold Pepsi. More than anything, he cherished time spent with his loved ones. His laughter, warm smile, and steadfast loyalty were constants in the lives of those closest to him.
Don will be remembered for the life he lived and the lasting impact he made on all who knew him. His family will forever miss his laugh, his smile, and the way he always had everyone’s back.
He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, April 27, 2026, at Floral Haven Funeral Home in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.
