Bianchi, Don Warren's Obituary
Don Warren Bianchi, age 86, passed away in the afternoon Sunday, February 23, 2025, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Don was born in Dallas Texas December 26, 1938. Raised in Dallas and attended Highland Park High school. Don is survived by his wife Beki Bianchi; his younger sister Helen Malone, his children, Dona Bianchi, Shirley Bianchi, Lee (Karla) Bianchi & stepdaughter Amy Satterfield; grandchildren, Donathan Bianchi, AnnaLee (Jerrin)Tucker & step grandchildren Camron Martin, Cole Martin, Kash Skaggs; his brothers sons Glen & Jerry Bianchi.
He was preceded in death by parents, Romeo & Marie Bianchi, wife and mother of his children, Susan Bianchi, Older Brother Romeo Jr. & Dixie Bianchi.
Don developed a love for sports, fishing, and hunting as a young boy and was influenced by both his parents. His mother, Marie, played competitive basketball (even played against Babe Zaharias) and his father, played various sports and was an avid referee well into his father's later years. Don played competitive baseball (third baseman) & football (field goal kicker, aka 'Golden Toe Bianchi') at Highland Park high school. He graduated from North Texas University Denton, Texas in 1963, with a degree in marketing & a member of Pi Phi Pi. Later he joined and excelled in the sales force of General Mills. As a fierce competitor, blended with his likability and his compassion for people, made him a 'natural' in sales and achieved multiple salesmen of the year awards.
Don passed down his love of sports and work ethic to his children by coaching his son's elementary football team and later became the head football coach of Foster Jr High school. His love for baseball was a perfect opportunity to coach his daughters in fast pitch softball which eventually led to a 1979 ASA National Championship title with the Tulsa Archrivals Girls Softball team. His gifts and influence through coaching went well beyond his daughter's and teammate's collegiate softball scholarships, he continued to donate his time to coaching well after his family obligations. His continued energy reflected into more college softball scholarships.
Ask anyone and they will know how dedicated Don was to his Dallas cowboys. He would not hesitate to talk Dallas football to anyone from Family members, Friends, passersby at the grocery store, garbageman or anyone who would listen.
People loved his sense of humor, and he knew how to make people laugh. Notable High school Reunion awards: "Class clown" and "Least changed". Don with his impeccable memory of the past could remember astute details of sports trivia, high school stories, and the exact "count and outs" of the bottom of the 9th. He never met a stranger, like the time he let the Hoover vacuum cleaner salesman into his living room, so he could hear and critique his sales pitch. Actually, in his early years, he briefly worked for Hoover and could still recount and sing the Hoover sales fight song. DON IS A LEGEND! Don will be greatly missed, and he will live in our hearts forever.
