Donald R. Bowles' Obituary
Donald “Don” Ray Bowles – February 21, 1945 – April 21, 2014In the company of family, Don returned home to his heavenly father. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Bill and Hazel Bowles and his brother Larry Bowles. Don graduated from Webster High School in 1964 and married his high school sweetheart, Gail Ferguson, the summer after. He went on to serve two tours of duty in Viet Nam with the “Fighting” Navy Seabees. Shortly upon his return, Don joined the Tulsa Fire Department where he faithfully served for 25 years. After his retirement, both Don and Gail became active in the local chapter of the MS Society and their church. Don is survived by his wife of 49 ½ years Gail, son Greg Bowles, son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Julie Bowles and two beautiful grandsons, Carson and Trevor Bowles. He is also survived by his twin brother and sister-in-law, Ronald and Barbara Bowles. Most of all Don loved God, Family & Country. It was a life well lived and we will miss you!Services will be held at the Floral Haven Chapel Friday April 25th at 10:00am.In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to the First Church of the Nazarene B.A. or the Oklahoma Chapter of the National MS Society.
