Donald C. "Don" Luckhart's Obituary
Donald C. Luckhart, 84, of Catoosa, died on Sunday, May 18, 2014. He was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on May 16, 1930, the son of Ralph and Katie Luckhart. Don grew up in the Tulsa area, graduating from Will Rogers High School in 1948. He joined the Navy on June 7, 1948, and proudly served his country, attaining the rank of Master Chief before his retirement. On June 9, 1979, he married Frances Young, in Lunenburg County, Nova Scotia. Following his retirement from the military, Don enjoyed being a pilot and spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife, Frances, children, Diana Friley, and her husband, Richard, of Lexington, Kentucky, Bobbie Bidinger, of Huntington, West Virginia, Michele Gill, of Owasso, Oklahoma, Heather Robinson, and her husband, Brent, of Bowmanville, Ontario, and Douglas Jones, and his wife, Camilla, of Brooklin, Ontario, grandchildren, Ian Friley, James Friley, Holly Friley, John Friley, April Boone, Michael Bidinger, Tony Beaman, Amy Bidinger, Joshua Gill, Justin Gill, Kyle Robinson, Mitchell Robinson, Alexa Jones, Tristan Jones, Savannah Jones, and Talin Jones, eleven great-grandchildren, brother, Wayne Luckhart, and his wife, Caroline, of Turley, Oklahoma, and numerous other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Dorothy Luckhart, brothers, Ralph Eugene Luckhart, and William Luckhart.
