Donald Wayne ChilcoatDonald Chilcoat went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Thursday, March 7, 2013 at the age of 74. He was born to Debs S. and Grace Ann Chilcoat on July 16, 1938 in Bristow, Oklahoma.He graduated from Jenks in 1956 and started working as a machine shop helper for Flint Steel in Tulsa. He worked his way to become a planner when Flint Steel closed its doors in 1984. He then went to Asea Brown Boveri as a production control planner until 1988. He was at John Zink (now known as Koch Industries) when he retired in 1992.He married Barbara Gene Lawson on September 27, 1958 in the original Jenks United Methodist Church. They have since lived in Jenks where Don was an avid Jenks Trojans fan.He was in the Army reserves for seven years as a supervisor in the National Management Training Program.He was very talented in woodworking crafts and had even added a deck and a second story to his and Barbara's house. He also took after his mother in that he wrote poetry.He is survived by his older brother Earl and his children Derrick and Denise and families; by his younger sister Marlene, her husband Johnny and their two sons Curtis and Barry and families; and by his late younger brother's children Thad, Terry, and Amy. He is survived by his wife, Barbara whom he married on September 27, 1958. He is also survived by their two sons David and Kris. David resides in Jenks with his wife Faye and their daughter Allison. Kris also resides in Jenks with his wife Erika and their sons Durham, Logan, and Tristan.He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother David, and his baby sister Carol Ann.Viewing will be at Floral Haven on Sunday, March 10 from 10 am to 8 pm and the funeral service will be at the Jenks United Methodist Church at 11 am on Monday. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations can be made to the 'Memorial Fund' at the Jenks United Methodist Church.
