Donald E "Don" Davis' Obituary
Donald “Don” E. Davis went home to be with the Lord on February 5, 2005. He was born February 9, 1933 in Murphysboro, Illinois to Edward and Irene (Carter) Davis. He served in the United States Army from 1953-1954 during the Korean War. He was married to Ethel Gill on July 3, 1959 in Murphysboro, IL. He had been a general contractor since the early 1960’s and later served as President of Davco Construction from 1977-1989.Donald was also a member of New Life Pentecostal Church since 1989, where he was baptized in Jesus name and received the wonderful gift of the Holy Ghost. He enjoyed serving God, spending time with family and friends and fishing. Don was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Irene Davis.Survived By: his loving wife, Ethel, of the home; sons, Donald (Frank) Davis and wife Lorna and Edward L. Davis, all of Tulsa; daughter and son-in-law, Sharon L and Edward Horton of Glenpool, OK, dauther, Joy Davis of Owasso, OK, daughter, Dana Gouyd and her husband Randy of Sapulpa, OK; grandchildren, Brandy and Kent Holcombe of Keifer, OK, Stacy Horton and Matt Horton of Glenpool, OK, Crystal and Sara Davis of Fresno, CA, Brad Davis of Sapulpa, OK; Nathan Davis of Owasso, OK and Garrett and Randon Gouyd of Sapulpa, OK; brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Barbara Davis of Miestadt, IL; aunt Jewell Carter of Cahokia, IL; and many brothers and sisters-in-law, cousins, neices, nephews and a wonderful church family at New Life Pentecostal Church in Tulsa, OK.
