Donald Wesley Gideon's Obituary
It is with profoundly heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Donald Wesley Gideon. Born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on November 16, 1961, to Donald Edward and Geneva Sue Gideon, Donald lived a life full of adventure, laughter, and fearless determination. He departed this world from Tulsa on January 14, 2025, at the age of 63.
Donald was a man who lived life on his own terms. He was bold, full of charisma, and always ready with a joke. A natural daredevil, he was the kind of person who could pull off a mile-long wheelie on his motorcycle just for the thrill of it. He loved wrestling, hunting, fishing, riding his four-wheeler, and collecting treasures from flea markets, thrift stores, and antique shops. His love for classic rock and playing the drums was only matched by his passion for old films, like westerns, horror movies, monster flicks, The Three Stooges, and Laurel & Hardy. Halloween was his favorite time of year, a reflection of his love for all things spooky.
A dedicated and hardworking man, Donald spent 16 years at Laufen Tile Company before continuing his career at Safelite Auto Glass for another 16 years, where he formed lifelong friendships and left an unforgettable mark on those around him.
Above all, Donald loved his family. He was endlessly proud of his son, Shane, and the family he built. He adored his three grandsons: Weston, Waylon, and Ryan Jr. To his daughter Whitney, he was not just a father but a best friend, always there when she needed him. His love for his parents, children, and grandchildren was unwavering, and his presence in their lives will be deeply missed.
Donald was truly one of a kind, a wild spirit, a loyal friend, and an unforgettable character who made an impact on everyone he met. Though he is no longer with us, his legacy of love, laughter, and adventure will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
