Donald E. Gordon's Obituary
Donald Ersel Gordon, better known as Don, passed away on September 18, 2023, at the age of 90 in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. He was born on September 17, 1933, in Topeka, Kansas. Don was a devoted husband, a DIY enthusiast, and had a passion for sports throughout his life.
Don is survived by his loving wife, Dorothy Gordon, his son Jeff Gordon, his daughter and son-in-law Kathy and Brad Blackim; his grandchildren Jennifer Lamarand, Jamie Blackim, Jodie Long, and Jason Gordon, as well as his great-grandchildren Brandon and Brody Lamarand. He also leaves behind his brothers Bill and Jim Gordon.
Don pursued higher education at Kansas State University, furthering his knowledge and skills. He proudly served in the Navy.
Throughout his career, Don worked as a computer programmer for Santa Fe Railway and Cessna Aircraft. His expertise and contributions in this field were highly regarded.
A memorial placement to honor Don's life will take place on October 7, 2023, at 9:00 a.m. at Floral Haven in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Floral Haven, located in Tulsa, Oklahoma, is assisting the family with the arrangements.
Don's legacy will be remembered by all who knew him. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and community. May he rest in peace.
