Donald Forrest Hughes, 86 of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma passed from this life on Sunday, December 29, 2019 in a Tulsa hospital with family by his side. He was born August 7, 1933 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to his parents, Forrest Edward Hughes and Doris Ruth Fowler Hughes. He married Joan Hughes on May 11, 1956 and they shared in over 56 beautiful years together before her passing on March 4, 2012.Donald is survived by one son, Dr. William Hughes of Tulsa, Oklahoma; two nephews, Randy Clark and wife Dana and family and Larry Clark and wife Betty and family; one niece, Cheryl Clark and family; honorary brother, Steve Kendrick and his wife Harriett; Honorary niece, Cindy Wilson and husband Ronny and family; honorary niece Deb Pattillo and husband Tom and family; and numerous friends and extended family members. He was preceded in death by his parents, Forrest and Doris Hughes; his wife, Joan Hughes; and two sisters, Maxine Cutchall and Dorothea Clark.Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 5, 2020 at Floral Haven Funeral Home with family to receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, January 6, 2020 at Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Connie Ichord officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Tulsa Air National Guard Retirees Association, Silver Beavers, Treasurer Larry Ourada, 3556 S. Toledo Place, Tulsa, Oklahoma 74135.
