Donald Lee Johnston's Obituary
Donald Lee Johnston, a resident of Tulsa, passed away December 21, 2021 at the age of 80. He was born March 21, 1941 to Frank Lee Johnston and Anna Mae (Gateley) Johnston in Ft. Smith, Arkansas. Don was a track star of both Will Rogers High School and The University of Tulsa from 1958-1963. He belonged to the University of Tulsa's Track Team, which won the Missouri Valley Conference Championship during his time there. He loved collecting toy trains and was a member of the TCA and TTOS. Don enjoyed good music, motorcycles and carpentry.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Ann Johnston; brother, Robert Johnston and grandchild, Alizae.
Don is survived by his wife of 60 years, Saundra Lee Johnston; sister, Cecelia Hedrick of Ruston, Louisiana; twins sons, Ricky Lee Johnston and Randy Lee Johnston, both of Tulsa; daughter, Brandi Lee Johnston-Cecil, of Broken Arrow; nine grandchildren, Donnie, Dillon, Daytona, Ricky Lee and Brittany Johnston; Tyler and Breanna Cecil, Miranda and Jeremiah Johnston and twelve great grandchildren.
