Donald Ladd's Obituary
Donald David Ladd, 73, of Broken Arrow, passed away 10 March 2019 at his residence surrounded by his beloved family. He was born on 24 January 1946 in Tulsa to James and Agnes Ladd. Don was an amazing Hero, Husband, Father, and Grandpa. As a hero, he served 3 years in the Army and was awarded the purple heart while deployed to Vietnam serving his country. As a husband, he married the love of his life Gloria Macksoud on 8 August 1970 and they have been inseparable to this very day. As a Father, Don raised his only daughter Jennifer Lee Ladd and set the example of what every father should aspire to be like. Don’s biggest role was that of being a grandpa. He always enjoyed spending time with the grandkids, fishing, taking walks and playing games. One of Don’s favorite hobbies was the game of golf that he enjoyed playing often with his brother and friends. Don was preceded in death by his parents and sister Shirly Joly. Don is survived by his wife Gloria Ladd, of 49 years, brother Larry Ladd, his daughter Jenny Dean and her husband Brad Dean, two grandkids Braydon and Evan Dean. There will be a funeral service to celebrate Don’s life at 10AM, Thursday, March 14, 2019 at Floral Haven Funeral Home.
