So sorry to hear of Don's passing. Don was always a pleasant person to know while at HUD. Always seem to be easy going and didn't get excited on any issues.

Sent a gift in memory of Donald Lee Davis
Our family first met Don in 1963. My Dad had just become the pastor of the First Baptist Church in Jay, OK. Don was a Deacon there. After a year or so, we moved into a new Parsonage. Don, Norma and Victoria lived across the street from us. Our families became fast and lifelong friends. Victoria and I were playmates, we all would go to the lake, bar-b-q and generally hang out together.Don gave me his helmet liner and canteen from when he was a Marine. I still have the canteen. After we moved from Jay, we stayed in touch. Exchanging phone calls, letters and birthday and Holiday cards. The Davis family would always try to visit Mom and Dad at least once a year. Don and Mom had a tradition of taking a picture of the other taking a picture of them.We mourned with Don when he lost Norma. We welcomed his new love, Wanda with open arms. His passing is a loss to the World. But, I know Don and Dad are now having a great time together again.God Bless Don Davis.May God watch over Wanda and Victoria.Steven R. Johnson
