To the family of Don Pitts – our deep condolences. Marilyn and I were so saddened to learn of Don's passing. Don was a teacher, a mentor and a friend to me when I came to Houston from South Africa, as a student and entered the graduate program that he started. Don and Laura were also incredibly helpful and gracious to us, inviting us to their home for wonderful Thanksgiving dinners (we still remember Laura's oyster dressing and the lovely pies. Don was always supportive of his students, and he will be sorely missed.Dennis & Marilyn Levi
