He helped me to be the person of faith I am today. I also told him that he was responsible for the "wonderfully happy years in the middle of my life". I send my love and prayers to Wyneth and the kids and grandkids. It is a great loss for the world – a person who loves unconditionally and works to improve the lot of every soul on the planet.
He and Wynette were a great inspiration to me in Broken Arrow. It was a thrill for me when he asked me to edit his doctoral thesis, simply because I had been an English major in college. It was another thrill when he told me that he had gotten the degree! It was terribly sad when he left the church there and I am sad again that he is gone. My best wishes to his family.
