Donald Louis Silence's Obituary
Donald Louis Silence, a resident of Broken Arrow, passed away November 24, 2021, in Bartlesville, Oklahoma at the age of 87.
Don was born October 16, 1934, in Wichita, Kansas to Leonard, Sr and Helen Weis Silence.
In the mid-1950's Don was in the Air Force, stationed at Carswell AFB in Fort Worth, Texas. There he met his first wife Virginia, they were married from 1957 to 1962 and they had two daughters. His profession was in the printing business where he worked in different states over the years. While in California, he met his second wife Janet Pitezel. They were married from July 1967 until her death in March of this year.
He enjoyed taking photographs back in the day, working in his yard, growing beautiful plants & flowers. He was involved in ministry for many years, with Janet by his side.
Don was preceded in death by his parents; brother Leonard, Jr; sisters Opal and Lucretia, his beloved wife of 53 years and daughter Dona.
Don is survived by his daughter Marjorie and husband Stephen; grandchildren Liz, Chris, and Jason; great-grandchildren Kaydance, Logan, Phoebe, and Brennen; Don is also survived by Dona's daughter Samantha and her children Emily, Benjamin, and Zoey; many nieces, nephews, and good friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Don's name to Bethany Baptist Church, 1911 W. Walker Street, Breckenridge, TX 76424.
Visitation will be held all day Thursday, December 30, 2021, starting at 10 AM under the direction of Floral Haven Funeral Home, with private interment at Floral Haven Cemetery on Monday, January 3, 2022.
