Donald Ray Stanley's Obituary
Donald Ray Stanley, age 84, passed from this life, May 30, 2015, at home with his family by his side. Mr. Stanley was born October 15, 1930, to Gloyd Agusta and Frances Jewel (Sullivan) Stanley, in Sapulpa, Oklahoma. He married the love of his life, Dorothy Deniece Covington, January 11, 1954, at the First Baptist Church in Claremore, Oklahoma. Donald retired from Burlington Northern Railroad as a train master. He will be dearly missed by his wife, Dorothy Deniece Stanley, daughter, Katherine Ellis and husband, Wayne, son, William C. Stanley and wife Jean; grandchildren, Michael Ellis and wife Edythe, Amy Michelle Ellis, and Jason Stanley and Sharon Denise; a great-grandchildren: Caleb Ryan Ellis; Victoria Elizabeth, and Dimitri Alexander; sister, Jeanie Sinor; and sisters-in-law, Louise Stanley and Maxine Stanley; and a host of nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Kenneth Stanley and Bill Stanley; sisters, Normie Greeson and Vickie House. A celebration of life will be held, Tuesday, June 2, 2015, 12:30 p.m., Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel, in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Interment and military honors will follow at the Veterans Field of Honor, Floral Haven Memorial Gardens, in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.
